What is "girly" really? I was about to get on here and rant and rave about people and their ideas. I could have explained the vast differences between goths and emos and preps from girly. But then mom told me: "Is that really living gently? Critsizing what other people do just because they confuse me with someone else?"
So instead of that, I'm going to explain how I see the world. From a girly perspective.
<3>
Most people, when I describe myself as girly and bubbly, think of me as a nieve little girl type who doesn't know too much about the world. But that's not what I think at all.
To me, the world is full of history and memories. Some of them the land itself holds, but most are in the people's hearts. I try to see the beauty and nostalgia in everything. From the flower alone in the sidewalk crack, to wondering what kind of life the person sitting next to me has led; it's the small details that make a person after all.
Back to the girly concept...Girly to me is living with a quiet heart that values the small things in life. Frilly dresses, tea parties and flowers just add to the wonderful sweet nature of us Girly Girls.
We don't tend to be fond of gore, sarcasim, feminisim, or action all the time. But always find fun in every day life. What people consider "frivolous, pointless, boring, or dry" is not that at all. More of, would you rather dwell on the bad things in life (politics, blood, war, ect.) or talk about, immerse yourself in and giggle over the beauty of life.
So what if we talk about boys, flowers, bows, frills, lace, makeovers, friends, and girly things. Yes, most of us like the color pink, most of us do aw over babies and couples. Yes we do have good manners.Yes, we do enjoy romance and friendship. Does that make us stupid? Does that make us shallow? It is simply what we enjoy.
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfullness, Self- Control

Well said, Otaku-hime. I'm anxious to read future updates on being girly and living gently from you.
I like, and it describes you very well. :)
I don't think it makes you stupid at all :). In fact, when I started reading your blog (way back when...) I was surprised at how smart you really are. Not that I ever thought you were less than genius, of course. More like you seem more mature than I knew! That's a good thing, by the way ;). And, I like being girly. I like other things you don't, but if I see something sparkly, I get it :). And Danny laughs at me, haha! So go be girly and have fun!
