5. Alice in the Country of Hearts

Reasons I like this
Alice is so cool because of all the characters. (suprise surpise, Heathy) I'm a sucker for personified stuff. And so everyone in Wonderland is a hot guy. X3 I love the art style, and the deep storyline. But....
Reasons I dislike this
Alright, this manga was really really good when I had been reading it and everything. It was exciting and deep...but then you get to the end. and WHAM!! It's over. The ending sucked. By the end, we didn't see as much character development as it seemed to promise. The story up until the last volume was very smooth and well placed, but the ending was rushed. This is why this manga has shrunk from number 3 to number 5. It's probably going to be replaced soon. XD
How and when did I find this?
I found it completely by accident last year. XD I was just looking for something to read in Barnes and Noble and found it. I was so dissapointed when mom came to pick me up and I had to stop reading.
How does this manga differ from the anime?
There isn't any anime for this manga, currently.
4. xxxHolic

Reasons I like this
CLAMP has some pretty darn awesome stuff, I'm finding out. I love the episodic quality of the stories, and Yuuko has a reason for everything. In fact, her saying is 'Everything is Hitsuzen' (Inevitable). A great manga all the way around. It keeps me engaged and excited for more. :3
Reasons I dislike this
Religion is a big part of this one. More specifically; Japanese folklore and spirits. It bothered me alot at first, but I got used to it after a while. So I realized that it's the main plot, and I guess it's not really bad in my eyes anymore. XD
The art style that CLAMP used for this bugs me too. XD Everyone looks really REALLY thin and long.
How and when did I find this
Gwen showed it to me. :3 About a year and a half ago.
How does this manga differ from the anime?
The anime and manga don't differ very much. They both follow the same storyline and there isn't that many fillers either. :)
3. Fruits Basket

Reasons I like this
Fruits Basket is so sweet. X3 It's one of those mangas that you forget about after you finish reading it..but then you 're-discover' it. It's slice of life, my favorite genre, and the characters are amazing. They're amazingly developed throught the story and everyone gets a happy ending. ^^ It's a story that can make you laugh out loud and cry your eyes out in the same volume. So sentimental.
Reasons I dislike this
The art style changes drastically in the middle of the series. This drives me CRAZY!!!!!!
The main character, Tohru, also bothers me. I don't like her hardly at all. Simply because she seems too perfect. No one could be loving, accepting, good at everything, and gentle like her ALL the time. Apparently, this was a big problem even in Japan's fandom. So, to answer that, the author made Tohru's character have a couple flaws. But she did it too fast and too...Well, Tohru suddenly has this unexplained dark side that is very selfish. Almost too selfish.
How and when did I find this?
Emily showed it to me back when I was first starting manga. Around 2006/2007. It was my very first shoujo manga. ^^ And it still sticks with me.
How does this manga differ from the anime?
The anime does not delve deeper into many of the relationships and back stories. The anime also ends on volume 6 of the manga, and there are 23 volumes, so yes. They missed alot. Two of the characters don't even show up. The music and animation are nice, though.
2. Dengeki Daisy

Reasons I like this
Dengeki Daisy has a super engaging storyline and comedy to back it up. Like, Fruits Basket, it makes you cry and laugh all in the same volume. I love the characters and how they interact with eachother. They all seem very realistic and relatable.
Reasons I dislike this
There is alot of pure dialog scenes. To me, this slows the story down quite a bit. There are also some sexual references.
How and when did I find this
Emily brought the first and second volume with her when she and Shannon visited. About 6 months ago.
How does this manga differ from the anime?
There is (sadly) no anime at the moment.
1. Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles

My all time favorite: Tsubasa!!! :D
Reasons I like (loooove) this
Tsubasa is simply genius. It starts out like any other manga, but as you go along, the story builds on itself and the character develop in the most genius and amazing way. :3 I like all the characters, and I love the art style. All the illistrations are gorgeous, and the ending is satisfying but open at the same time. I really can't say enough about this one. I love it so much, I would bore you poor souls sitting at your computer. XD
Reasons I dislike this
I'm not a big fan of vampires. That's all I have to say about that, lest I spoil it for you. And the fandom really annoys me, and sometimes Sakura's character is a little inconsistant. But other then that...There's nothing bad about this series. XD I'm biased, I admit.
How and when did I find this?
I was introduced to the anime at the manga club at my library. It took me a few episodes to get hooked, but believe me... This is another one I forgot about, then 're-discovered' it. That was about two years ago.
How does this manga differ from the anime?
There isn't much difference in the first half. But once you get past where the anime left off, the story gets much darker and more complicated. The anime has choppy animation sometimes, in my opinion, and leaves out a couple of important details for later in the story.
I hope you enjoyed reading my
