Wow, just got back from a very long day at the Cincinnati Museum in Union Station! :D Gwenny had TWO FREE tickets and so we went for the whole day.
The whole museum is inside what used to be a train station. It's so pretty in there with all the 30s architecture and a HUGE mosaic covering the ceiling. ♥ They have three separate museums, along with an Omnimax theater. The History, Natural History and Childrens museums.
The natural history museum is really long, but it is cool too. There was a big cave section that we just loved walking through. And an ice age section. Dinosaurs...Mammoths... MUMMIES! X3
We did it twice because we had four hours to waste after we were done. XD So we went with a scavenger hunt and got sharks teeth for a prize.
The regular history museum was my favorite. There was a HUGE miniature model of Cincinnati in the 40s. Complete with working trains, an airplane and working trolly cars. It seriously takes up an entire room! Along with alot of WWII and WWI stuff, a re-created town square with a working printing shop (still does wedding invites and things. :3 ) and many other stores. There was even a steam boat in there!
And the children's museum..Ah, man. I wish I could be young again. It was a kid's dream play area! I wanted to play in the giant town section...Playing kitchen...House...Vet...Store owner...Post master... QwQ But alas, there were too many kids today and we were kind of having to YELL to talk to eachother. XD
She even gave me my birthday present today, because she would be gone for the next month. My darling friend was so kind as to give me Disney Princess cards... (Which
I had a good day. :D I'm so happy that I got to hang out with you before you left for your cruise! ♥ I love you, Gwenny Penny! ^^
